I had the amazing opportunity to do the interior design for a lovely little 1840's farmhouse in Tallmadge. The architect on the project was Peter Paino of Paino Associates, and he placed the home on the 2015 Home Builder's Association Parade of Homes.
The home is open noon-5pm on Saturday 9/12, Sunday 9/13, Tuesday 9/15, Wednesday 9/16, Saturday 9/19, and Sunday 9/20.
What I loved the most about working on this project is that the owners embraced and encouraged to approach of blending old and new throughout.
We also went to great lengths to reuse as much wood from the house and the barn outside by repurposing it back into countertops, stairs, pantry dorrs, and furniture.
And as always, locally-made touches appear throughout via lighting, furniture and artwork from Hazel Tree artists.
Come visit if you'd like! The tour is free and open to the public.
