Design Center
Since opening Hazel Tree in 2010, we have been committed to incorporating locally-sourced and artisan-crafted elements into our design client’s projects. With the opening of the Design Center, we’re excited to extend our commitment of “made by local hands for local homes” to our Akron community and surrounding areas.
The Hazel Tree Design Center serves as a hub for people seeking inspiration and exceptional design elements. Our thoughtfully-curated collection of resources offers a variety of high-quality materials and furnishings featuring local artisans and makers.
Our design library includes fabrics, finishes, materials and style options for upholstered seating, ceramic tile, lighting, fine wood and metal furniture, window treatments, area rugs and more. Artisan-crafted displays showcase the options for custom furnishings and finishes, and touch-screen tablets present digital examples of the endless possibilities for furnishings and art.
In collaboration with local artists and makers, many of whom we’ve worked with since our opening in 2010, we have created our own customizable furniture line, Tree House Furnishings. With our interactive kiosk, you can explore the different combinations available to create the perfect table, bench, or ottoman for your space. You can choose from a wide variety of design components featuring wood, metal, upholstery fabrics, glass, and stone.
We are also an authorized dealer of Norwalk Furniture, a well-known, quality upholstered furniture line that is manufactured just 63 miles away in Norwalk, Ohio. We have a variety of their upholstered furniture pieces in our Design Center offering you the opportunity to gauge the comfort and quality of this sustainable furniture. Norwalk Furniture’s full line of fabric and finish samples are on display and we are happy to assist you with selecting the perfect options for all of your upholstered furniture needs.
Knowledgeable staff are available to offer a personalized experience, and design guidance and support as needed — allowing customers a space to dream up a true reflection of their style, but ready to guide those who prefer assistance.
The Design Center is open five days a week: Tuesday - Friday 11:00am - 5:30pm and Saturday 11:00am - 3:00pm. Our Design Center will feature seasonal offerings so be sure to visit often to see what’s new.
While our Design Center is not ADA compliant, we are able to assist via email or phone, and we offer curbside assistance to anyone who is unable to visit the Design Center due to accessibility issues.
