Meet Tara Deetscreek

Design assistant

Tara had no idea that walking into Hazel Tree Interiors one Spring afternoon to frame a piece of art would lead to a position as Interior Design Assistant at Hazel Tree Interiors. As a local artist, Tara has worked with Hazel Tree through the years to not only frame her art, but also showcase her work in their showroom and other locations.

Since graduating more than 2 decades ago with her BFA in Art Studio degree, she has applied her creativity to a wide range of ventures. She has done everything from local exhibitions, to commissions, murals, ceramic shows, set design, surface design, and teaching art. Interior design has always been an interest of hers and has naturally applied her visual skills into this field. She has helped many friends throughout the years creatively redesign spaces in their homes and has also enjoyed creating inspired spaces in her own home.

Of all the art that Tara has created, her greatest masterpieces are her four sons. She enjoys a full and beautiful life with them and her supportive husband who is always waiting expectantly for the next new creative endeavor Tara wants to try. Working at Hazel Tree Interiors seems to go hand in hand with working in her art studio and she loves connecting with others through art and design.
